NEW Dietary Guidelines for Americans

Earlier this year, the USDA and HHS released updated dietary guidelines to help Americans adhere to a healthier lifestyle and make healthier food choices in a national effort to combat obesity. According to a press release, more than one-third of children and at least two-thirds of adults in the United States are significantly overweight or obese, so the new dietary guidelines focuses on balancing calories consumption with physical activity to manage weight loss. It also encourage Americans to eat more fruits and vegetables and less sodium and saturated fats.
